Old Milnerville residents learn Will Waddle of Webster, South Carolina, has been named county judge for Day county by Governor Toi Berry to fill a vacancy. He is the senior member of the Day county bar and has long practiced law locally. Lola Trometer and Karl Helm, Merrill natives, obtained a marriage license in Sioux City last week. Miss Trometer is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Trometer.
Sunday services set for 11 o clock with Sunday school at 10. Junior Mission Band meets Saturday at Luther Hall. Visitors include Mr. and Mrs. August Wiberg and daughter from Oldham ND visiting Adolph Wiberg and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sikes visited Elmer Hultgren family. Gassmans from Rock Island and Mrs. Wannah Gassman dined at Lee Stoutenburg’s. Mrs. Win Ericson stayed with daughter Wayne Waterman in Sioux City. Some residents attended a Sioux City circus despite rain. large crowd reported.

J P Klauer and Julia Klauer as executor and executrix have filed their final report and application for discharge in the Kate Smith Estate. The District Court in LeMars Iowa sets October seventh 1936 at ten o clock for hearing why the report should not be approved and the executors discharged.
