Mrs. Arthur Tague of Yankton SD visited Nels Beaubien's home and other relatives. A Ladies Aid meeting at J W Nordman's house drew a nice crowd Thursday afternoon. Mrs Albert Harrington and Mrs Miner of Sioux City had an auto accident returning from Sioux Falls. Harrington had minor injuries and is recovering. Miner was only shaken. Penelope Tsitouras visited the Charles Johnson home Sunday afternoon. Families including Kallsens, Witts, Rabers and Folkerts Schmidt visited various homes over the weekend. Shoppers from Sioux City, Akron High School students, and multiple households attended a mission festival in Akron. A surprise party at the Bill Erks home honored Fred Erks with many relatives attending.
Morning worship at 11 a m and Sunday school at 10 a m. Bake sale Saturday September 11 at Weidenfelder market to aid the mission. Mission Band meets Saturday afternoon. Luther League gathers September 14 at Luther Hall with refreshments by Mr and Mrs Ralph Dewey. Several local residents noted visiting and illness updates with neighbors and relatives.
