In October term 1937 Ruth M. Swift seeks divorce from William W. Swift on grounds of desertion since April 9, 1928 at Akron Iowa. She requests custody of the minor child, support, alimony, and costs. Defendants are warned to appear by October 4, 1937 or default and decree will be entered.
A demonstration on Canning String Beans at the Des Moines Iowa State Fair won top honor during the Achievement Day proceedings held last week.

Starring Robert Armstrong and Andy Clyde, the film follows Stan an oil agent and his family amid adventures including a government kidnapping case. It showcases farm life, windmills, and kerosene deliveries amid a blizzard and community scenes.

County Agent L A Eberlein of Union county urges stopping grazing, clipping all weeds, and burning those gone to seed to revive badly overgrazed pastures. The text warns that gum or resin weeds and other plants undesirable to livestock will continually increase and crowd good pasture grasses unless prevented by rain seeding. It advises constantly destroying weed seeds and preventing seeding of annual and biennial weeds to maintain pasture health.
