The Akron Board of Education cites severe crowding at the current building with space already used for renovations and rentals. Enrollment has doubled since 1921 and is projected to reach about 701 by 1965. A new elementary school with 12 classrooms, a multi purpose room, kindergarten, remedial reading, administration, kitchen, and toilets is proposed 95 by 210 feet to alleviate crowding and allow future expansion.

Former Westfield Man Dies in California at 79
Philip F. Tracy formerly of Westfield died Monday in South Gate California after a six month illness. Born May 24 1882 in Plymouth County he was a farmer before moving to Sioux City in 1948 and later to California. He is survived by two sons two daughters five brothers two sisters and 12 grandchildren Funeral services were held Saturday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany Sioux City with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
