The Westfield High School chorus presents a Friday concert on November tenth in the school gym featuring 45 member chorus, soloists including Niki Hors Way and Mary Blum, and the Snappy Singers, two new melodies This Land is Your Land and When the Flag is Passing By, with traditional songs and armed forces melodies.
The new per cent service tax covers several farm services useful to agriculture. Costs for four typical farmers based on last year’s business ranged from 16.11 to 37.17 dollars, with rules extending to labor on machine work, custom field work, grinding and mixing feed, and other agricultural services. Provisions exclude retail meat processing but include locker plants and custom processing, well drilling, weighing, and erosion control work.
An amendment to the articles of incorporation was adopted at a special stockholders meeting held at the bank office on September 19, 1967, after proper notice under Iowa law and the bank's governing provisions. The action, taken by the bank’s stockholders, formalizes the modification to the corporate charter.
Amendment articles set capital stock at 75000 dollars divided into shares of 100 dollars each and state a board of five to ten directors. It fixes annual stockholders meeting on the third Tuesday in January, starting 1928, with Akron Savings Bank signing the instrument in 1967. He attends Intramu el Lutheran Church and enjoys Dean Martin music The Associations Shrimp and cream style corn Love is Strange and Peaches and Her. Dick plans to study Bookkeeping and Architectural Drawing at Industrial Arts School next year. He participated in football wrestling and A Club and remembers Homecoming as a grand marshal. His advice to AHS students is to study hard but enjoy nightlife.
The Architectural Drawing Class visited Sioux City on Quicker 2 to study and photograph various house styles. Ivais, 40, joined the group, and participants found the trip enjoyable and informative, collecting images of numerous architectural styles.
Fifth grade class finished a heat energy unit and studied convection radiation and gas expansion with Rol-A-Lab experiments. They learn about diesel steam and jet engines, six simple machines, and will chart them. Sixth graders completed a health unit on foods and created posters. The new topic is Earth's atmosphere and weather with film strips to aid study.
Sharon Ostermyer is a senior at Akron Community School. Born October 18, 1948 in Alcan Iowa, she is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Lawrence Ostermyer. She attends Catholic church and lists English and government among her studies with art as a favorite subject, plus Family Living and Business Math.
Lois Bresee born September 11 1950 in Winnebago Minnesota attends Trinity Lutheran Church. She studies Government shorthand bookkeeping office practice English and participates in Rider Review Norka Staff Drama Club and sewing and cooking activities. Glen Klemme born July 21 1949 in Akron Minnesota attends Battle Creek Lutheran Church studies English physics government typing 1 and joins A Club football wrestling track mixed chorus band JYTA baseball and intramurals. He enjoys cooking and prefers a 1965 Mustang and foods like French fries onion rings. He lists Petula Clark Liz Taylor John Wayne and The Rolling Stones as favorites and says his best moment was tearing his desk top in English. He plans to go to college and advises students to punt when in doubt. Donuts day credit goes to many volunteers and special thanks to Peg and her mother for entertainment and cheer.
