Westfield Cloverettes Elect New Officers at September Meeting
The Westfield Cloverettes met at Beverly Postlewait's on September 26. Carolyn Ross called the meeting to order, 14 members attended with seven new members and three visitors. Officers were elected: Beverly Postlewait President, Carolyn Ross Vice President, Iola Blum Secretary, Penny Blum Treasurer, Linda Banks Reporter, Sharon Brundeen Historian, with Mrs. Brundeen as Leader. The group reviewed materials and awarded premium money from the fair to last year's 4-H members.

Grazing Prohibited On Conservation Reserve Contracts
Land in the soil bank conservation reserve may not be used for grazing while the land retirement contract is in effect. Wm Schnepf of the Plymouth county Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation committee announced the rule for contracts expiring in 1960 and for longer terms. He noted annual payments are made to compliant participants. Plymouth county had 101 active contracts in 1960 covering 10 167 acres. Special report from Fort Knox Ky notes Army Private Jimmy L Crow, 21, completed eight week typing and clerical course September 30 at the Armor School after enlisting in May 1958.
