Akron Register-Tribune lists subscription rates of two fifty per year and one twenty five for six months in Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury Counties Iowa and Union County North Dakota, with three dollars per year elsewhere. Westfield notes funeral visits and church events

Westfield editorial correspondence reports the funeral of Mary Maloy in Sioux City at St Boni Face Church. Guests include the Lundgrens, the Varenhorsts, and the Conway and Dumby families. Harvest Supper at Westfield Congregational raised 380, with talks on Christianity and Communism led by Dr. Uemura.

Also noted: local marriages, births, deaths, and reunions. a major 1951 funeral for Dr. J. H. Kerr. and district events including fire school, postmaster mishap, and a large hydro flood damages suit.

Ford delivers surge in 1962 Des Moines car sales

Des Moines district deliveries of the 1962 Ford cars on introduction day tripled the district's average daily rate this year says J. T. Cavnar Ford Division Des Moines district sales manager. National results echoed the record day with dealers nationwide delivering over 13 000 cars on introduction day and a survey showing 64 percent buyers possibly or will buy in 1962. Cavnar cites styling lower prices and twice yearly maintenance as reasons for high public acceptance and potential record sales. Early Falcon Squire demand doubled planned production with bucket seat option proving popular.

County wheat diversion rates announced in Plymouth County

The average rate per acre for wheat diverted to conservation in Plymouth County under the 1962 program is 326.10 and 34.90 dollars. R. J. Becker, chairman of the county ASCS committee, notes that individual farm rates rely on these county figures and productivity.
