Local correspondent reports multiple family visits and gatherings across Sioux City Elk Point Yankton LeMars and Laurens. Births marriages and holiday plans noted with church events and community activities including a bazaar cantata practice and a bowling party for Thanksgiving weekend.
At Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars the Plymouth County Heart Assn elected Cyril Ortmann and his wife co treasurers. Lyle Koenper was named special events chairman and Herb Brangon was appointed publicity chairman. Robert Bomgaars was reelected as campaign chair. Rev Harold Varce announced the next meeting for January 8 at the hospital with a county drive goal of $4000 for February 1968.
Akron High School presented Autumn Serenade with a prelude by Bev Arly Van Donge. The band performed The Nutmeggers and Holiday For Windia under guest conductor Ron Minske. Vocal groups closed with Madrigals, Gavotte For Bach, and This Is A Great Country.
Jim Hanson, a 1968 senior, lists NUMBER 9 coin collecting as a hobby and notes time for Brule Creek Lutheran church. He studies Government, Consumer Math, Speech, and English, with favorites including color red food hamburgers fries Elvis Presley Annette Funicello Jerry Lewis the Monkees I'm a Believer and Plymouth GTX. Fifth graders finished a southeastern states journey with a plantation model and product map then move to New England to explore early American life. Sixth graders begin a tour of South America as spring arrives south of the equator.

Her favorite subject is English and she studies Gov t Math Bookkeeping and Office Practice with CYO as an extracurricular. Her hobby is reading and she admires Petula Clark Liz Taylor Richard Burton and the Buckinghams. She favors blue and spizza and plans to be a secretary. Her advice to students is do your best and you will have nothing to worry about. Her sister Ellen is 15.
The Iowa Christmas Seal Campaign opened on Wednesday November 15 with a luncheon at Hotel Kirkwood Des Moines. The event featured a ten unit old fashioned steam train dining car and attendees from Iowa Tuberculosis and Health Association and other state directors. Clarence Kehoe of the National Tuberculosis Association and L Gerald Snyder designer of the Seal attended the kick off. The 1967 goal is $575000 to support emphysema research, community services, and public and professional education.
E. E. Cowan, chief of the School Lunch Section, announced frozen concentrated orange juice is now available to all school buildings in the state, public and parochial. About 1,540 of 2,210 public and 218 of 401 non public schools use the program. orders allowed for a full year. Transportation is a nominal charge from Iowa warehouses.

Her car is a 68 Camera and Asso stations is her group with the song Never My Love. Her advice to underclassmen is study hard but have fun. She has no specific future plans.
