Mrs Dollie Stewart recently returned from a week with relatives in Harlan. The Howard Morehead and Meinjohan families occupy the Buryanek residence. Westfield school teachers chose about 200 books from the Tuesday club library for reference and outside reading. Mrs E TH Spaulding Jr donated a 10 volume Century Dictionary set to the school. Lester Boyd returned from a trip to Colorado. The Ladies Aid of the Congregational church held its regular meeting.
Local notes and social visits fill the Ruth area as residents attend gatherings at the Kallsen and Miller homes. Visits span Brookings to LeMars, with birthdays celebrated and shoppers sighted in Sioux City. Also advertised are typewriting supplies for sale at the Register- Tribune office.
Friday, the 18th proved pleasant for Axel Kilstrom, with neighbors surprising him at home. Richard Hoffman, Lester Boyd and Mrs. Chas Johnson report a smooth Portland trip. Mrs. Johnson visits relatives while Mr. Hoffman considers locating there. Frank Tucker of Crofton Nebr visits relatives in the vicinity. many friends glad to see Frank looking well.
An advertisement claims Alice Burns of Cobb and Greenleaf Drugists endorses Adlerika as a cure for decades of constipation. The testimonial states long term constipation ended after taking the product amid stomach discomfort from souring food.
