Westfield Social Notes and Visits Across States

Hunters fill roads at Southwest Plymouth fair day

On November 11, 1954, Southwest Plymouth, Co. roads were crowded with hunters from the area. Mrs. C. P. Knapp, recently discharged from the Methodist hospital in Sioux City, will rest with her sister before returning home. Norman Weber, long hospital stay in Omaha, visits home and improves. Many locals attended the Robert Brownlee funeral in Sioux City. Brownlee farmed in Liberty township and served on the Plymouth county board of supervisors.

Plymouth County Horseman Resigns Health Forces Step Down

A local horseman in Plymouth county resigns due to health with a note he owned some of the finest teams. Work crews repair fences along the steel tower line from Wentfield to Highway 75 as another crew strings wires. A devotional radio schedule on KLEM lists November and December services led by Akron Ministers Association with pastors from Wesley Methodist Adaville United Brethren Immanuel Lutheran First Baptist Trinity Lutheran Plymouth Presbyterian.
