Neighbors Friends Help Pick Injured Farmer Corn
Arnold Shedd of Union county suffered a serious accident when a wagon rolled and ran over his head and shoulders breaking a collar bone. He was treated at Akon Hospital and later at Methodist Hospital in Sioux City. County TB Association Holds Fall Meeting in LeMars
Plymouth County Tuberculosis and Health Association met on Saturday October 25 in LeMars for a fall meeting after a luncheon at Cora's Tea Room. Twenty six board and director members attended. President Marion Chapman reported on the state meeting. Dr Parlett and Dr Youmans reported a new active tuberculosis test. The association voted to donate 100 to tuberculosis research. Mrs Paul Sonner of Spencer spoke on rising new TB cases this year and the drive for improved case finding. A December start for a county case finding program was announced with an x ray unit visiting schools and offering free x rays to all school personnel Westmar freshmen and transfer students and hospital patients participate. Plans for the coming seal sale were outlined.
