Westfield write ups report Mrs. Amanda Hummel in frail health with daughters R A Tuttle and J H Johnson arriving from Hill City Minnesota. Joy Harrington and family tour with Mr and Mrs Deppe of Omaha. Guild happenings at Mrs Philip Beaubien home, and plans for June 1 at Ira and Mrs Maynard. Numerous trips to Sioux City Yankton and Orange City noted alongside school year end events and commencements with many local families appearing in social, church, and civic activities.
Union Creek News reports a special notice that church services will be held Sunday evening at 8 o clock. Alice Olson hosted a family gathering that afternoon with several friends and relatives in attendance.
The Federal government rules that state and national banks are in inter state commerce and subject to the Wage Hour Bill. Banks in Plymouth County will close at 3 PM daily except Saturday when they close at noon beginning June 1 1939. Citizens are invited to submit news items to the Register Tribune office.
