Cyrus Knapp Jr seeks township clerk on the Republican ticket in Hancock township while his mother Maud Knapp runs for committeewoman alongside T A Ross. Sioux City area slate includes T A Dennison and Mrs Dennison for Democrats, Worth Banks and Mrs Christy Moffatt for Republicans. Rural life features dance music by A A Lilly, a family wedding update, a Keane weekend visit, a large Stone Park picnic, and reports on local schools, clubs, and a recent funeral of John Kimball.
Mrs Laura Mills of Sioux City stayed here among friends and will soon leave for Oska loosa Iowa to summer with her son in law and daughter. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Gilbert Cerwins ki May 17 1938 at Newell Iowa. The Senior Christian Endeavor Society will sell home made doughnuts Saturday. A large crowd attended the Ladies Aid meeting at David Lilly home with Mrs Lilly hostess. The next meeting is Friday May 27 at the A A Lilly home with Mrs Lilly hostess.

Cemetery association to hold annual supper Friday evening May 27 at Luther Hall. Shoppers from Sioux City include Mrs Harold Halberg Mrs Wreugdenhil Joyce and Ruth. Westin visits the Walford Forslund home. Mrs Harry Saterbo returned from Muscatine last Thursday.
