New York dispatch reports Arch ishop Michael Augustine Corrigan died at 11 05 PM Monday night after a sudden collapse. Physicians, priests, and his brothers were present. he had been described as improving earlier in the day. Corrigan, D D, was born in Newark North Carolina in 1840.
Reports claim the Dominican capital capitulated last Friday while President Jiminez sought refuge at the Santo Domingo Frese Consulate. Negotiations with Puerto Plata's governor Gen Deschamps failed as he refused surrender without orders. Amos J. Six year old Furrow Riser pulled a heavy mantel piece in his father John W. Kiser’s Chicago home. The fall caused internal injuries. he died Thursday at 1 30 PM from the accident which happened Monday afternoon.
