Mrs L V Gant and son Pat visited from Geddes S D with her parents Mr and Mrs T A Dennison. The Tuesday club thrift sale cleared almost twenty dollars from clothing and lunches. The high school and junior high held a skating party at Riversioux. Mrs Rose Shearer returned home after weeks with her sons Fay and Thos Shearer in Sioux City and is improving. A musical treat in Com Ill featured Mr Everett Timm and Louise Paulson presenting for Westfield school with strong reception.

Untimely Death Shocks Westfield Community

Miss Mary Spaulding dies at Sioux City Methodist hospital after two months of declining health. She was 23, daughter of Mr and Mrs E H Spaulding Jr, of Marshalltown, and a 1936 University of Iowa graduate. Final rites held at Christy’s funeral chapel in Sioux City. interment Logan Park cemetery.

Tour to College Planned for Plymouth County Farmers

Plymouth county farmers and families will tour Town State College in late June to see the college at work. H H Jones county agent announces a nine tour series, with groups from about ten counties each. Grant Chapman extension specialist says plans and dates will be announced later after travel to Ames by auto.
