New Arrivals Frerichs and Moller Babies Reported

A son, Ryan Patrick, was born April 27, 1977 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Frerichs of Le Mars at St. Luke's Medical Center in Sioux City. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and has a sister Nicole and a brother Darin. Grandparents are Edmund Blum and Alvin Frerichs of Akron. A daughter, Rhiannon Lynn, was born April 14, 1977 to Mr. and Mrs. Gary A. Moller of Carroll at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. She weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and is 21 inches long. Grandparents are Gerhard Moiler of Chatsworth and great-grandparents Henry Collmann of Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Book and Thimble Club Meets for April Roundup

Book and Thimble club members met April 26 with Lorna Easton hosting. Fourteen members named a state flower and bird. topics included a gas tax hike in Iowa, potential Saturday mail suspension, conservation, Bible knowledge among college entrants, and an art share by James Bama. Awards for international affairs and family living were given. Next meeting May 10 at Penny Bryant’s home.

Intersection collision injures two

Two persons were injured in a two vehicle crash at 5 55 p m Wednesday April 27 ten miles east and three miles north of Le Mars Heath George Dumas 81 month old son of Carol and Charles Dumas Akron was treated at Akron hospital and dismissed Melvin Schwiesow 27 Ireton was admitted with bruises and abrasions Carol Dumas Akron driving a 1967 Olds stopped at the intersection of K 22 and C 16 pulled out not seeing Schwiesow in a 1976 Ford pickup causing about 4000 damage to the pickup and 900 to the car Dumas was cited for entering a stop intersection.
