Westfield Middlings reports Mr and Mrs Jess Pendleton and son visiting I Iverson near Sioux City. Mr and Mrs Lowell Taylor and Peggy met Oscar Smith from Oskaloosa Iowa at LeMars. families then went to Walthill Nebraska to see a sick aged aunt. 4 H girls met at Donna Ogden’s for a birthday handkerchief shower. Last P T A meeting of Ogden school featured songs a play and readings with a sack lunch. many there.
Former neighbors went to aid at her Akron home on Tuesday afternoon. Doctors Brunner Mattison and L F Taylor visited Mr Taylor at his ranch on Monday to pick washrooms. Darrell Smith was seriously ill for a few days with tonsillitis.
Mother's Day services planned for Sunday at 8 pm. Confirmation class meets Saturday at 9 am in Luther Hall. Luther League gathers Tuesday May 10 at the Hall with hosting by Mr and Mrs Winkeson and Mr and Mrs Milton Ericson. Numerous local visits and family news follow including trips to LeMars, Sioux City, Akron, Ida Grove, and Chicago, with many relatives noted in gatherings and visits.
Mrs. Chris Jensen visits Grinnell and other Iowa towns with relatives from Santa Barbara. Westfield High holds plays The Price Tag on May 12 13 in Community Hall. Senior class, faculty plans for 1950s school move. Leslie Stickley and Crystal Shelly announce marriage. Orlan Husted ill at Ft Meade Hospital. Local guests include Mr and Mrs Harrington of Long Beach and Mrs Dennison host St Catharine’s Guild.

Heirs Eugene Lias Alta Lundgren Lias Thomas Lias and Mrs Earl Lias are notified of a written will filed April 25 1938 and a final proof and hearing set for May 24 1938 at 10 a m in the District Court. The clerk E F Remer publishes this notice.
On May 2 1938 the District Court of Plymouth County Iowa appointed the undersigned as Administrator of the estate of Jan Janson deceased. All persons indebted must pay the estate and those with claims should present them legally authenticated to the Court.
