Trinity College player to gain all state honor amid spring flood

A Trinity College basketball player in Sioux City was slated for all state honors this year. A heavy mid March snowfall blocked countryside and streets, followed by a thaw that flooded streets and raised the Big Sioux river. Mil waukee depot agent F T Purvis, formerly at Westfield and Hudson, is noted. M A Agnes returned to Alameda Sagk Canada to tend farm interests after illness. Mr and Mrs Henry Boetger mourn a daughter Irene age six who died March 20 1917. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Louis Beaubieu March 17 1917. A son born to Mr and Mrs William Swift March 18 1917. A daughter born to Mr and Mrs Rex Pollock March 22 1917.

Wm R Tremaine and Mrs Henry Hitzemann, longtime locals, died of bronchial pneumonia. J J Hobson of West Union joined Wintensteen’s as a jeweler. Mary Tindall of Johnson Township wed George Robertson February 27 1907 at Adaville U B Church. they will farm near Rubia. Sadie Cedar and Charles Winquist married at Big Springs South Dakota. they will live on the groom’s farm near Big Springs after visiting Kiron Iowa.
