Westfield area notes recount visits among families including the Welchs Hughes Berns and Nelsons. Ronald V. Kelly, agency manager of Farm Bureau Insurance Plymouth County, named to the 1971 Royal Court of Honor and the 1971 Agents Advisory Council for outstanding 1970 sales and service. Thirteen Iowa agents named to the Royal Court. council comprises top agency managers representing all agents. Kelly, 813 Second Street, S. Ky. LeMars, has led Plymouth County agency since 1966.
Mr Wes Crow returns home from Akron Hospital after surgery. Local residents host and visit in various households in Sioux City, Elk Point, Ford Leonard Wood, and Dakota City. Notable events include PCC club gathering, a couple’s 85th wedding anniversary, and sympathy extended to Wes Crow on his brother Robert Crow’s death.
Plymouth County 4-H members age high school plan a three year citizenship study focusing on local and county government. Led by Ardyce Roehr, the program includes reading, interviews, and attending meetings with area couples assisting in Akron Grant Elgin Hinton Merrill and LeMars.
Robert Crow 55 of Merrill died Tuesday at an Akron hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church Akron with Rev. Clair O Dell officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery under Schroeder funeral home. Pallbearers: Merlyn Miller Robert Miller Willis Crow Wayne Miller Dallas Crow Elmer Meske. Adult dragonflies overwinter as larvae and emerge next spring as winged nymphs.
