Nursing Home News Birthday Celebrations and Visits

Lillian Davidson celebrated her 96th birthday on February 28 with a lunch hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Young. A life sketch by Marel Bennett and a birthday song followed. Community friends attended and offered well wishes as Anna Meyer, Dora Lynch and Margaret Krenz moved to a new addition. Visitors included John Mirks and family, with several local residents and church members noted for gatherings, prayers, and social events around March.

Mrs. Lloyd Huebsch 74 dies after long illness in Akron

Mrs. Lloyd Huebsch born Anna Wendt September 1 1896 in Merrill died February 27 in Akron after a long illness. Funeral services were March 1 at Trinity Lutheran Akron with Rev Durwood Clauson officiating. Burial Le Mars Memorial cemetery directed by Schroeder funeral home. Survivors include a sister in law Leila Huebsch Le Mars and several cousins.

Life and Legacy of Marvin Emrey Klemme Akron Native

Marvin Emrey Klemme 54 of Akron died February 25 1972 after a life rooted in farming and community service. He married Mildred Lemen in 1938 and had four children Myrna Jo Merlyn Lee Merrie Katherine. A longtime member and elder of the First Church of Christ he also served as Master Mason and district lecturer. Surviving family includes his widow three children and many relatives. Funeral services were held at the First Church of Christ with Masonic rites at Riverside Cemetery under Schroeder Funeral Home.
