Special correspondence reports the Westfield Tuesday Club annual Amateur show to aid the Westfield library will be held March 20 at 8:00 pm. Admission 50 and 25 cents. Local residents perform vocal and instrumental pieces to support the library. Several social notes mention visits and engagements among Westfield residents and nearby towns.
Mr and Mrs Milford Rye and family of Gayville South Dakota visited at the home of her aunt and uncle Mr and Mrs A A Lilly Barbara Larson of Sioux City and Randall Knapp called on Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr and Mrs Ivy Knapp Bethel Ladies Aid plans a visit to the Crippled Children training center in Sioux City on March 14 anyone willing to go contact Mrs George Bern
Luther A Meyer posts Fourth Sunday in Lent services at St Math Luther Chatsworth with Divine services 8:30 a m Sunday school 9:30 a m and midweek Lenten services. Plymouth County broadcast on KLEM and confirmation instruction times noted. Also 4 H Club leaders to attend March 15 training on home furnishings cloth articles and demonstrations.
First Church of Christ hosts a Bible school with Marvin's class leading the 10:00 a.m. service and a flannel board talk by Albert Phippen. Communion follows at 11:00 a.m. and an evening session at 7:00 p.m. for youths in grades six through eight. Sponsors include the Phippens Peck and Klemme couples.
