Funeral rites held for Miss Anna L. Jenkins at Schroeder

Obituary notes Miss Anna L. Jenkins 90 born in Sweden August 20 1880. She lived in Akron most of her life working as a clerk in several stores and owning a confectionery. Longtime member of Chapter 61 Order of the Eastern Star. Survived by sister Miss Oda Jenkins of Akron, sister-in-law Mrs Thel Jenkins and niece Betty Jane Jen8 of Sioux Falls South Dakota. Burial in Riverside cemetery. Rev Ralph Burdette officiated.

Irrigation Meeting Set By SDSU Specialists At Elk Point

An irrigation workshop is scheduled for Monday March 8 at 9 30 am in the Elk Point City Auditorium. SDSU Irrigation Specialists Fay Kerr Sid Black and Darrel Pahl will lead the program. Funeral services for Albert Von Hagel held in Akron

Funeral services for Albert Von Hagel age 72 were conducted Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Durwood Clauson officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery under Schroeder Funeral Home direction. Survivors include widow Minnie, sons Wayne Paul and Eldon, brothers Gert John and George, sisters Marie Hitzemann and Anna Long, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One son Donald preceded him in 1937.

Federal Land Bank cuts loan rates for new and existing

The Federal Land Bank Association of Sioux City will reduce interest by one half of one percent on new and existing variable rate loans. The rate change applies to loans closed and new applications taken until further notice, including past year loans under the variable rate plan. The association funds long term real estate loans to farmers in Plymouth Woodbury Monona counties Iowa and Dakota County Nebraska, with about 18 million in loans to 950 members.
