Akron News Roundup Highlights Local Personalities and Sports
A crowded Akron area bulletin covers a mix of local notes from residents visiting Hawarden to Hummel family picnics at City Park. It reports on barber changes, club meetings, meal demonstrations, and recent Sioux Valley Horseshoe League results with teams like Akron Alcester Vermillion and Westfield. It also notes travel of A L Seamands from Remsen and S Sgt Seamands from Newfoundland and potential base transfer to Boston. Community hospital surgical and medical patients, a birth in Sioux City, and a new local son in Akron are listed among the week’s happenings.
