The bride wore a sheer organza gown with lace and baby blue rosebud accents, carried a pastel colonial bouquet, and was attended by bridal party in blue and pink dimity. The groom wore a white tuxedo with blue accents. reception followed at the church fellowship hall. The couple plan a farm home near Akron after a trip to the Black Hills.

Plymouth county activity center fund drive nears goal

The Plymouth county work activity center reports progress toward a $100,000 fund drive to construct a new industrial building west of the NIPCO site. The private non profit center aids severely handicapped adults with work and social activities, and seeks local donations to finish financing the 70 by 125 foot facility. New boat registration law to take effect July 1 in Iowa

The Iowa Conservation Commission reminds owners of sailboats canoes rowboats and inflatable craft to register with the county recorder by July 1. Registration fees change May 1 1975 to 8 and 4 dollars with a 50 cent writing fee. Boaters are urged to review Iowa boating regulations.

36th Hummel family reunion held in South Dakota

The 36th annual Hummel reunion gathered 62 members and one visitor on Sunday June 9 1974 at River Sioux South Dakota. Oldest attendee Ida Morehead Sioux City and infant Mark Douglas of Mr and Mrs Douglas Perera. Longest distance travelers included Herbert Simpson Excelsior Merrill Buttrick Rushmore and Gordon Hummel Judy and Jody Karrup Overbrook Kansas. Officers named for 1975 are Thomas Hummel JrPresident Lynn e Hummel Vice President Verda Klapprodt Secretary Raymond Olson Treasurer. A lovely dinner and adjournment followed.

Union Creek Ladies Diamond group held a religious service at the nursing home with sandwiches coffee bingo and small gifts for prizes.
