The annual event for visitors to Western Iowa Experiment Farm will be held on Tuesday July 1. Studies this year cover small grain plant diseases terracing corn planting methods for age variety trials and rotation fertility.
A 9:00 a.m. start features plots and soil and water run off studies, cattle feeding experiments, and a women’s program on gardening and kitchen topics. A noon lunch is offered at nominal cost, followed by wagon tours of the projects to minimize walking. All interested farmers and others are invited.
