Akron Tennis Club to host Vermillion visitors Sunday
Senior members of the Akron Tennis club will meet a Vermillion South Dakota team at local courts on Sunday June 17. Matches will start in late afternoon and continue under lights in the evening. Courts suffered rain flood damage last week but repairs are underway and surface will be ready. A thin mud layer on one court is being removed and the elevated courts helped prevent serious washout. The new clay surface remained largely intact amid heavy rains. To ease out of town pairings a ladder tournament will rank Akron players in a different format.
