Lyle McFarlin was an Orange City visitor Saturday. Mrs Martin Johnson of Hawarden visited the Scheifen home Friday. Myrtle McFarlin and Margaret Scheifen spent the weekend in Hawarden. August Osterthun and wife visited LeMars Thursday and were delayed by the flood. H C Crow and wife attended a funeral in Sioux City Wednesday. Hilert Wilkins and wife visited near Akron Sunday. Louie Wilkins and Jake Vogelzang visiting Sioux City work, came up Sunday. John Wilkins and family visited LeMars Sunday. Jerry Kelley turned five Tuesday, with a party for neighborhood children. Mesdames Harris and Degan hosted a luncheon for the New Century club at the Harris home Saturday. The table featured pink and green, with wild roses as a centerpiece. Erma and Carol Johnson assisted in serving. Carrie Johnson gave a paper on Public Welfare and Bula McFarlin read two poems Three Evenings in a Life and Weaning the Baby. The luncheon closed a very interesting year’s work.
