Sayles Blue Bluffers of Akron held a strong lead with eleven straight wins in the Tri-State horseshoe tournament. Statewide primary results show Dan Turner nominated for Iowa governor by Republicans and Clyde L. Her ring renominated by Democrats. Kennedy caught an eight foot eel in the Big Sioux River weighing nearly five pounds. Mrs. Charles Kanage noted a June 8, 1904 item. Akron Colts defeated Hawarden 7 to 6 with a three-run ninth inning, Bert Smith starred at third, Burnett and Clement pitched. Hudson defeated Akron 4 to 8. Burnett and Clement pitched for Hudson. A new east hill water reservoir was tested, delivering good mains pressure.
