Melvin Ross 42 was found dead at his home two miles east of Burbank South Dakota on May 29. Union County Coroner L W Anderson ruled death a suicide. He born January 16 1927 in Akron Iowa a World War I veteran worked for Dyna Technology in Sioux City. Survived by widow Betty Markel and daughter Carla from first marriage plus two daughters Tammy and Teresa and stepson Regie at home. Funeral services for 85 year old Mrs Barth Miller were held Thursday May 29 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev David Roy officiating. She died May 26 at Akron hospital after a long illness. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters a son a brother four sisters thirteen grandchildren twenty eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
