Akron Midget baseball players aged 9 to 16 trained weekly under Richard Prussing of Akron High School and will compete in the Le Mars Midget tournament at McDuffie Park starting August 4. The squad's only intercity game was a 9 to 7 loss to Le Mars. Local dances on Reed Street drew big crowds with Miss Luther leading callers and the Little German Band providing music.
