Barefoot in the Park comes to Eastwood students on Friday

Susan Anderson an Akron English and drama teacher will lead Eastwood Community School students to the opera house Friday for Barefoot in the Park. The group seeks support as they prepare for the performance and invite attendance Friday evening. A separate note reports corn theft from a local garden, with corn mowed, shucked, and trampled, prompting contempt for the prank. Joe Dalton shows a 12 inch roasting ear and cites favorable spring moisture and early progress of area corn crops amid widespread rate hikes.

Clayton Manning of Washington D C visited Akron this week for his nephew Mike Manning’s Cedar Falls Iowa wedding. Boetgers Visit Ends as They Head to El Paso

COTA D eMr and Mrs Orville Boetger left Friday for their El Paso home after spending two weeks with the Boetger family. Mark Small of Sioux City stayed for dinner with his grandmother Grace Small. Clayton Small of Sioux City visited Grace Small. Staff Sgt Don Hagel Mrs Von Hagel and daughters Tresea and Angela arrived from Frankfurt for a month with relatives Wayne Von Hagel sr Battle Lake Minn Minnie Von Hagel Akron and Ray Bockelman family near Hawarden. Ralph Smith Spink celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with 200 guests. Their daughter Mrs Ray Schultz and grandchildren Sally and Paul helped with the program. Navy captain Frank E. Lucken, husband of Joyce Markus of Akron, completed a 10 month program at the Naval War College in Newport Rhode Island.
