New threshing machines have been unloaded. buyers include Reams Banks and Benson Woods of Richland. Fred Emmick and wife were in Sioux City on business. Frances Hoschler of Akron, in St Joseph's hospital training, is visiting her grandmother Rose Burke. Lowell Hoshler of Akron visited too. Mrs Robert Michael will host the Bridge club at West Hotel Friday. The Westfield Independents beat Macy Indians 13 to 5 at Rivers Sioux Park Sunday. Westfield to play Remsen next Sunday. Anne Tracy is visiting her uncle.
Betty Adams and Laura Webb returned Saturday from a two weeks visit to Fulton and Mitchell. D. H. Schumacher and wife of Sioux City visited his parents. Lois Jean Ruth Harris visited Lillian and Charlotte Larson. Bobby Seheifen Norman Degen and Ted Hemmingson of Hawarden came down on their wheels. Bill Kelley and wife were in Sioux City on business. L. L. Schumacher and wife of Sioux City visited the Dalgliesh home. Ray Downing and wife of Remsen visited the Dalgliesh home. Mrs Havek and son and wife of Ft Dodge visited last Sunday at the A. R. Louch home. Ben Dalgliesh and Fred Koch were in Akron on business Tuesday. Charlie Marshall opened the Farmers or south elevator here and offers grain prices. John Kuck of Centerville MD was calling on friends Sunday.
