A Plymouth county district court judgment awards James Tracy 2875 dollars and 4680 dollars to 8 E Schoenfelder for damages from channel changes and road improvements that altered drainage in the county. The order requires restoration of roads and ditches to prechange conditions. Card of appreciation follows for hospital stay and thanks to Dr Brundige.
The West Side Church of Christ outlines services Bible school at 8 00 a m worship at 11 00 a m evening service 8 00 p m and Wednesday 8 00 pm Bible study. Roll Call Sunday calls members by name. Missionary meeting ongoing Thursday. July 28 hosts Mrs Roy Carlson with devotional leader Mrs Del Harkness. A food shower for Mrs Isabelle Dittemore urged with bringables. Friday meal hosted by Mrs Ken Talbott and Mrs Grace Johnson continues.
The Westfield Consolidated School District will meet August 1 1955 at 8:00 PM at the School House to hear taxpayers on the expenditure estimate for 1955 56. A detailed receipts and disbursements statement for past and anticipated year will be available at the hearing. Robert Michael district secretary. The notice includes a school house fund with moneys and credits and taxable valuation figures for 1954.
The Westfield Cloverettes gathered at Patty Burke's home on June 24 as members answered a roll call with good table manners. Demonstrations included Cooking Green and Yellow Vegetables by Burke, Cooking Vegetables of the Cabbage Family by Henrich, and Cooking White Vegetables by Hughes. Alyce 688 and Carla Johnson planned charades and other interactive games. Want ads bring very good results.
