Two Akron Men Injured in Gravel Road Collision
Edward W. Kiewel a 57 year old man from route 1 Akron and Kevin L. Moffatt an 18 year old from route 1 Akron were injured in a two vehicle crash on a county gravel road two south and 2.8 miles east of Akron. Kiewel driving a 1959 Chevrolet was westbound while Moffatt driving a 1966 Chevrolet was southbound at the intersection of the gravel roads. Moffatt was hospitalized with head injuries while Kiewel received treatment for hand and knee injuries. Kiewel was charged with failure to yield to a vehicle approaching from the right. State trooper Rich Helmers and Akron police investigated.
