Mrs E Repp and Mrs Clara Satt hoff were business callers in Orange City. Mrs Henry Collmann and Mrs Jack Lake of Sioux City visited Sioux Center for business. Tim Dennison left for YMCA Camp Foster Spirit Lake for a week. Dennison party visits Chamberlain South Carolina over the 4th. Mrs Charles Hendricks took Don Hendricks family sightseeing in Chicago. Visitors at the Bultman home for the 4th included Franklin Hemmerick and family Tom Steene and family. Mrs Shirley Lowell and son Michael were dinner guests at the Hendricks home. E Repp and Clara Satt hoff called Alcester South Carolina. The Ludwigs family of Cambridge Minnesota spent the weekend with Henry and family. H B Schweisow of Hawarden visited George Moehlmann. Mrs G Moller made a Sioux City business call last week.

Sona Horton Granted Junior Membership in Angus Association

Sona Horton of Akron, listed as a junior member of the American Angus Association at St Joseph Missouri, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Wayne Horton. The membership allows register at regular rates and privileges until age 21 with conversion to lifetime membership later. Seventeen three youths nationwide received junior memberships last month.

Mr and Mrs Wendell Snow announce the engagement of their daughter Mary to Randy Wilms son of Mr and Mrs Henry Wilms of rural Akron. The couple plans an August wedding. Mary is a 1975 Akron Community High School graduate and Randy a 1974 graduate and is engaged in farming.

Fletcher family reunion in Akron hosts many relatives

The Fletcher family reunion was held June 29, 1975 at the Akron Legion hall. Attendees included Edgar Fletcher and multiple Fletcher relatives from Des Plaines Enceno Batavia Elk Point Sioux City Palatine Dell Rapids and more. Akron area members also attended. Another reunion is planned for the first week in August 1977.

Former teacher visits student after 60 years

Mrs. Hazel Nelson of Hyde Park Utah visited Mrs. Clara Wetrosky at her home reconnecting after 60 years. Nelson had taught Wetrosky at the Johnson Township Center School and the two had not seen each other since.

Bredall Family Reunion Marks 14th Gathering in 1974

The 14th annual Bredall reunion was held June 22 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Franz Schneider in Le Mars. Attendees traced lineage to J. C. Bredall and Maren Bredall Juhl, with relatives from Akron, Remsen, Alcester, Spencer, Hawarden, and other towns. Letters of greeting came from relatives in California, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Colorado. The next reunion will celebrate the 100th anniversary year of Christian J. Bredall’s arrival in America.
