Mrs Cecil Harrington drives to LeMars with her son Gene. Mrs Laura Mills visits and heads to Riv ersioux Park. St Catharines Guild holds meeting with bake sale planned for July 6 and next on July 15 at the Gant home. School board reports 132 pupils across 7 grades. 15 non residents. Budget outlined. relief bill and PWA grant pursued. Miss Anne Lyle joins Reliable Products Chicago for summer. Residents attend various visits and meetings. obituaries and local social events noted.
Plymouth county shippers sent livestock to Sioux City market with representation from Hinton Le Mars and Remsen. A Cyrus Beaulieu farm barn dance is planned. Mrs Ernie Luce and two boys reached San Diego safely from Sioux City in June. Milner girls working in the city returned for the Fourth of July. Mrs O Connell visited relatives in Anthon as her husband Roy Cassen and others planned a Sioux City reunion. Grasshoppers threaten crops despite warm weather. Mr Harlan Allen injured his foot. an abscess delayed recovery. A large Fourth of July dinner at the Cassen farm included many Sioux City guests. Miss Christine Logans Montana vacation and Mrs Walden Fry host summer guests. Milner families in Long Beach and Vermillion noted. Shirley Carter diagnosed with scarlet fever at Westfield. Rally Day at LeMars drew many county girls. Rivers Sioux Beach noted for recreation and swimming. Miss Brea Fry sold chickens in Sioux City on market day. Travelers prepare to go east and north via Minneapolis.
