Akron tops Alcester CCC 5 to 4 in a close baseball win. Armand Brown and Tucker hit homers for Akron while Hertz doubled twice for Alcester. Hartman pitched nine and Zander two, with Nitz three. The victory marks Akron’s third straight over Alcester CCC, as late scoring by Akron preserved the lead.
Akron defeated the LeMars Orioles 9 to 1 on June 20 behind Kapfer’s solid pitching and a big Akron rally in the fourth inning. Key hits came from Kapfer Beaubien and James Martin while Armand Brown and John Martin added run scoring and Lilly Beaubien contributed multiple hits.
