Akron man Darrel Jacobson dies after long illness
Darrel J. Jacobson aged 45 of Akron Iowa died Tuesday January 16 at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Funeral for Jacobson was held January 19 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron with burial at Riverside Cemetery and grave side rites by Hoschler Legion Post 434. He was born September 29 1927 in Richland South Dakota and lived with survivors including his wife Betty and several sons and siblings. He was a World War I and Korean War veteran and a member of Hoschler Legion Post. Additional notes include a 1978 Plymouth County Pork Producers membership drive with local officials and a wool payment program notice for 1972 producers due January 31.
