Health for All and TB fight intensifies in 1964 drive
The Christmas Seal Campaign funds a renewed battle against tuberculosis and related respiratory diseases. Officials note 54 045 new TB cases in 1963, but relapse and undercounting push annual active TB above 64 000, with about 110 000 Americans currently infected and half a million highly vulnerable.
