Applications for payment under the national wool program move more quickly with full and accurate information and sales records says Cecil J. Kennedy, Chairman, ASCS County Committee. Wool sales during the marketing year qualify if the wool was shorn from sheep or lambs owned at least 80 days. 30 day ownership must be verifiable. Payments also cover unshorn lambs owned 30 days, prorated among producers. End of January 1968 is the filing deadline for 1967 calendar year payments. 1966 sales payments in Plymouth County totaled $9,316,97.
Data from Public Safety Commissioner Fulton notes 752 deaths for the year so far, with November totals showing 78 fatalities. He cites seat belt use as saving at least one life and urges belt adoption, while highlighting crashes and distributions across counties, times of day, and demographics.
