Milnerville Golden Wedding Celebrated in Iowa Home

My and Mrs James Solomon of Hancock township marked their golden wedding at home on Sunday December 31 with a large party. The couple married fifty years ago in Ham mond county Tennessee and have lived mostly in Woodbury county Iowa. They have seven sons one daughter twenty eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Over a hundred guests attended including seventy relatives.

Elden Beeler spent Saturday in the Geo Beeler home. Anna Evjen called on Mrs June Davis Friday afternoon. Elmer Kliemmer and son Arnold and Clarence Andrews were Akron shoppers Saturday. Mrs June Davis and son Frank were dinner guests in the John Overby home Sunday. A large attendance at the auction sale by Arthur Christopher Friday. Anna and Ole Overby visited Sievert and Clara Hansen Friday. Dolph Davis called in the John Beach home in Akron Friday. Mike Hansen visited Elk Point Tuesday. Ed Ekren in LeMars Iowa one day last week. Pleasant Hill school children enjoy a two week holiday. Mr and Mrs Wallace Beeler and children spent Christmas day with daughter Mrs Edwin Thormesgaard near Beresford. Mr and Mrs John Overby and children and Mr and Mrs John Beach and children of Akron were dinner and supper guests in the Mrs June Davis home on Christmas day. Olive Ringsrud spent Sunday with Minnie Anderson. Miss Marjorie Holmquist Pleasant Hill school teacher spent holidays at her home near Centerville.
