Mr and Mrs Paul E Wenke of Fort Collins Colorado announce their daughter Mary to Robert Welch son of Mr and Mrs Ray Welch. The wedding is set for April 19 in Kansas City Kansas City area records show the couple will wed in Kansas City.
Weekend guests at the Ray Welch home in Akron included Mary Wenke Bob Welch of Kansas City Geo Henke family and others from Omaha Sioux City and Brandon. A miscellaneous shower for Mary Venke was held at St Joseph parish hall. Upcoming events include Corn Soybean Clinic meetings in Beresford and an irrigation workshop in Elk Point with attendance by SDSU specialists. Chatsworth special correspondent reports a stream of social activity around Akron and nearby, with Mrs Henry Frerichs and niece Emma visiting Mrs Clara Satthoff, Colin Collmann and family hosting and dining at various homes, and U P W members from Plymouth Church entertained. Funeral services were held February 13, 1969 in Akron Iowa for Eli Andresen who died in a tractor accident. Born July 15, 1934 in Akron, he attended Westfield and Akron schools and graduated Alcester High School in 1954. He married Donna Schneider in 1955 and left four children, Vickey Timmy Lisa and Judy, at home. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Akron, with arrangements by Schroeder Funeral Home. Survived by his widow, four children, his parents, and sister Beverly Nelson.
Rudolph H. Kiewel 78 of Akron died Wednesday February 19 at a Lemon Grove California hospital. Funeral services were held Monday in Lemon Grove with burial at a later date in St Peter Lutheran cemetery Merrill. Born November 25 1890 in Union county South Dakota he married Selma Kirschbaum February 15 1916 at Granite Falls Minnesota. She died in 1930. Survived by four daughters a sister a brother William Kiewel Akron 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Herman Koch age 73 were held Monday February 24 1969 at 2 p.m. at Plymouth Presbyterian Church officiated by Reverend Charles Kruse with music by Mrs. Ralph Taylor and organist Mrs. James Gabel. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery under Schroeder Funeral Home direction with Order of Eastern Star rites. Survivors include husband Herman Koch a son Donald a daughter Ruth Wales and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Richard Wales Donald R Koch Leon Gabel Norman Shedd Jack Borchers and Dennis Wilken. Honorary pallbearers included Abe Miller Victor Taylor James Gabel Donald Luckers Harvey Taylor Elton Shedd.
