Livestock and Crop Improvement Meeting Held in Alcester
Forty men attended the annual joint meeting of the Union County Livestock Improvement Association and Crop Improvement Association in Alcester on January 30. The program featured a Soil Conservation District report by Glenn Hicks, a Watershed Approach talk by Gary Kerr, and soil management demonstrations by J. T. Paulson. Directors elected covered livestock and crop groups for 1957, with officers named for various roles. The Preston Club adopted Mabel Allen, buttons and cards planned, and a future meeting set for February 11 in Immanuel Lutheran church basement with guest speakers from Northwest association for retarded children and county school chairman.
