Siou x City speaker recounts Kaibab lion hunts

Dr J H Kerry spoke at a Sioux City Izaak Walton League meeting at the Jackson Hotel on Tuesday of last week. About fifty five attended from Merrill McCook Lake and Akron chapters. He displayed skins of three lions a male a female and a cub and described Grand Canyon hunting methods with dogs and horses. He noted lions can be dangerous when cornered but will flee if they have retreat. Local hunters regard lassoing a cornered cougar alive as sport.
