A Westfield Westfield group from St. Catherines entertained residents at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home Sioux City with music dance and guest participants including the Banks Schoenfelders and others Sheryl Banks played piano and guest Sioux City dancers performed tap routines. Community gatherings include a Homecoming basketball game December 19 and a soup supper December 20 with town teams and alumni events. In Plymouth County the District Court announced probate proceedings for Vinton G Adams deceased with Helen Irene Adams appointed executor and notices to creditors and heirs.
Duane Forslund expresses gratitude to everyone who sent cards and visited. He thanks those who helped pick corn and especially credits Dr. Trotzig and nurses, and Rev. Rey for visits and prayers during his hospital stay.
Mrs Anderson and Mrs Moller called on Mrs Ethel Lyle while Mr Chris Beech and the Ludwigs visited Merrill. Numerous neighbors attended dinners, shopping trips, and a Christmas party. Carolers from Plymouth Presbyterian visited the Collmann home and Cynthia Collmann played piano.
Alfred H. Klemme of Akron died December 10 1969 after weeks of illness. He was 75 born July 8 1894 in Ak ron Iowa married Rosina Bubs February 20 1917 at Trinity Lutheran Akron. He was a farmer photographer theater operator and TV repairman active church member at Immanuel since 1925. Survived by son Gordon brother Harry four grandchildren and many friends. wife Rosina predeceased him in 1967, son Wilmer in 1963. Funeral December 12 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Roy officiating. Burial Riverside Cemetery.

Kirk Miller 149 and Elizabeth Henke 125 also noted. Bob Gustafson led high series with 415. Garvin 487 and Hedeby 309 were other top totals.

In the Tuesday Coffee League week of December, Akron Bowl led with a high team series of 2356 and a high team game of 814, followed by Kerr Motor with 2342 and 809. Individual highs included Ivan Finzen 553 and 530, Lawrence Maynard 203, John Kelly 198, Lois Klemme 472 in series and 197 in a game, Joy Dirks 455 in series and 182 in a game, with Jay Birds posting a 445 team game and Woodpeckers a 1262 team series.
