The Merrill teams will travel Friday December 18 to play at Westfield. Open house for Mr and Mrs George Hummel’s golden wedding anniversary is Sunday December 20 from 2 to 6 pm at the school auditorium. Kinsfolk visit grandparents in Sioux City and family Christmas shopping in Sioux City. Community Christmas Eve service at the Congregational Church begins at eight with a music program and costumes. Congregation volunteers have given the church interior a fresh coat of paint ahead of the holidays.

Patrick O Connor Dies. Noted Union County Farmer
Patrick T. O Connor, a well known farmer from Garryowen vicinity in Union County, South Dakota, died last Friday night at his Vermillion home at age 86. He is survived by his wife four daughters four sons 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One son is Sheriff Joseph O Connor of Vermillion.
