Dr Burl Wyatt 57 of Humboldt Iowa died Sunday December 5 at St Marys hospital Rochester Minn after a long illness Services were held Wednesday December 8 at United Methodist church Humboldt with burial Crown Hill cemetery Ruthven Masonic rites were by Ruthven lodge He was born in Somers Iowa grew up near Hardy Iowa and graduated from Vernon township high school Ren wick and Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine He married Harriet Gouge in 1942 served in World War II and practiced veterinary medicine 1952 1970 in Ruthven before moving to Humboldt to work for the U S Department of Agriculture He was a member of the American Legion and Masonic lodge Survivors include Harriet four sons David Ruthven Dean Issaquah Wash Duane Apache Junction Ariz Richard Iowa State student Carolyn Pullman Wash mother Mae Wyatt Akron two brothers Virgil Lighthouse Point Fla and Dr Charles Wyatt George Iowa two sisters Arden Johnson Akron and Eldon Seely Akron and one grandchild.
