Westfield Christmas Program and Homecoming Events

The Westfield school year features a Christmas program on December 19 at 4 30 PM with choirs from the entire grade and a high school vocal group. A school board treat will follow for attending children, and homecoming is slated for December 22 with two boys basketball games against Alcester. Past scores include Boys A 76 47 and Girls A 55 60 with top scorers Nick Jackson Sandy Combs and Margo Featherston.

Christmas Seals Join Holiday Traditions Worldwide

The Christmas Seal campaign begins November 16 and has grown into a major annual effort supporting tuberculosis and respiratory disease work. It started in 1907 when a Wilmington clubwoman funded print runs to aid penniless consumptives, aided by a ragged newsboy who quipped Me sistarus gobit. The program now funds research, education, and patient care benefiting health year round.
