County Board Cancels Hundreds of Old Warrants

The board of supervisors passed a resolution canceling several hundred outstanding warrants issued before 1936 that were not presented for payment. About 250 warrants date from 1928 and many are for small sums, mostly under 5 dollars, with a few larger amounts on the primary road fund. If any cancelled warrants are later presented, the auditor may issue a new one to avoid loss to the county. A small Want Column ad offers to sell it.
