Rural Home Culture Club Christmas Luncheon

The Rural Home Culture Club held their Christmas Luncheon on December 7 at Ina Young’s home with co hosts Mildred Klemme Gladys Johnson Minnie Johnson and Miriam Hemmingsen. Eighteen members attended a program by Birdie Harris and Ina Young featuring Christmas poetry traditions scripture and The Birthday of Christ. A gift exchange followed by coffee and cookies ended the afternoon.

Self-employed must manage social security records says Sioux City official

John R. Goldman, District Manager, reminds self employed individuals to file tax returns on time keep accurate income and expense records and verify their social security account every three years. He notes forms SE must show the social security number and that earnings statements can be obtained by contacting any social security office. Louise B. Institutes Train Counselors Nationwide Under NDEA Act

Seventy six counseling and guidance training institutes, authorized under Title V-B of the National Defense Education Act, will operate during 1963 summer sessions and 1964 academic year. In Iowa, State College of Iowa Cedar Falls hosts June 17 to August 19 and the University of Iowa Iowa City June 12 to August 6.
